Editorial note

§ 1COMPATH closed in late 2024. The signature event — EAS Café in Oslo, 70+ participants — produced the single most actionable finding of the project: pathway design fails when it is led by federations rather than by community organisations.

§ 2The project's output, a pathway framework co-authored with community sport organisations rather than federations, has been picked up by two federations outside the original consortium.
