Appendix III · Back Numbers
Every issue, and
what it changed.
A periodical that keeps no back numbers is a website pretending. This is the edition ledger: each issue, its date, what it added, and the figures as they stood when it went out. The movement between two issues is calculated rather than written, so it cannot quietly go out of date.
Three editions where there was one. Three environmental scans filed — on athlete mental health, on federation readiness, and on the ocean as a governing layer nobody in sport had claimed. Energy & Climate stopped being the quiet sector. And the first word arrived from the March round: Listen 2.0, selected, at signature.

First impression. The edition set in Fraunces and Source Serif, the ledger written out in long hand, the archive opened back to 2019, and the Norwegian front page added five days later. Published as an edition rather than a site, which was the whole argument.

A note on the ledger
We keep the record, not a frozen copy.
Earlier issues are not preserved as pages. What is preserved is what each issue added and where the figures stood on the day it went out — which is the part we would want to be held to. Where a figure has moved, the movement is shown. Where it has not, a dot says so.
If any of the above quickens your pulse, or if you suspect we are mistaken about something important, we would like to hear from you. Letters to the editor are read carefully and replied to in person.
