Project №04 · Dual-career support for student-athletes
Springboard 2.0
A second generation of the Springboard framework for dual-career student-athletes, combining education and performance pathways.
Editorial note
§ 1The first Springboard project established a dual-career method; Springboard 2.0 tests it at scale, with better instrumentation and honest attention to where the original method fell short — particularly in the transition out of competitive sport.
§ 2We have added a post-competition module, a mentor network, and a longitudinal tracking study. The last is the most important contribution: dual-career research without longitudinal data is speculation.
- §01
Updated dual-career curriculum
- §02
Post-competition transition module
- §03
Mentor network, 40+ practitioners
- §04
Five-year tracking study, baseline
If any of the above quickens your pulse, or if you suspect we are mistaken about something important, we would like to hear from you. Letters to the editor are read carefully and replied to in person.
