Green Tennis Comic Book — published
Smart irrigation, the Rebel Ball, the Ball Eater, and a Wi-Fi hamster powering an entire tournament. The comic translates Green Tennis sustainability practice — refill stations, ball recycling, travel choices, waste sorting, energy savings — into a story that clubs, federations, event organisers and young players across Europe can put to use this season. Partners: Sport Singularity, Tennis Europe, Magyar Tenisz Szövetség, We Play Green, AIforlives, UCAM. Funded by the European Union.

Editorial note
§ 1The Green Tennis Comic Book is a sustainability primer dressed as an issue №1. Eight pages, fully illustrated, written for children and quietly aimed at the adults who run their clubs. Smart irrigation. Refill stations. The Ball Eater, a recycling bin with a sense of humour. Tournament Mode, with a Wi-Fi hamster powering the secure network. Each panel teaches one practice; together they sketch an honest, approachable model of what a sustainable tennis facility can look like in 2026.
§ 2We made the book because the existing literature on environmental practice in sport is, with respect, unread. Federation circulars. Working group white papers. PDFs that arrive at the inbox of someone who has fifteen other things on. A child can read this comic at the club café in twelve minutes. A facility manager can read it in eight, take three notes, and act on two of them next week. That is the design brief.
§ 3The work belongs to the GreenTennis consortium. Concept, story and design are by Collective Innovation AS, in close collaboration with Sport Singularity, Tennis Europe, the Hungarian Tennis Federation, We Play Green, AIforlives, UCAM, Mobile Adventure and Centenary Tennis Clubs. Funded by the European Union under Erasmus+ Sport. The comic is free to download, free to print, and free to put on the shelf next to the racket bags.
§ 4Better for you. Better for our planet. Play. Respect. Protect.
