Project №24 · Padel ecosystem growth

GROW-PADEL.

Awaiting word, September 2026. A pan-European project to address the growing pains of padel — infrastructure, safeguarding, and coach education.

Editorial note

§ 1Padel is the fastest-growing racquet sport in Europe, which means it is also accumulating the fastest set of growing-pain problems: an unregulated coach labour market, inconsistent safeguarding practice, and a club infrastructure being improvised country by country. GROW-PADEL, if accepted, puts a cooperative structure underneath the growth.

  • §01

    Padel coach certification framework

  • §02

    Safeguarding protocol for padel clubs

  • §03

    Infrastructure audit and toolkit

  • §04

    Cross-country benchmarking, 5 countries

If any of the above quickens your pulse, or if you suspect we are mistaken about something important, we would like to hear from you. Letters to the editor are read carefully and replied to in person.
