Project №01 · Listen to the Voice Of Space

Listen 2.0

Space and astronomy as the way into STEM for 9 to 16 year olds, with a multilingual gamified learning platform, a teacher resource pack, and an online space-STEM hackathon that any school in Europe can reuse.

Editorial note

§ 1Listen 2.0 begins from an observation that will surprise nobody who has stood in front of a classroom: children are interested in space and are frequently bored by STEM. The two facts sit next to each other in the same room. The project treats the first as the way into the second, and treats girls' participation not as a reporting line but as a design constraint from the first lesson plan onwards.

§ 2The work is built around nine space-themed STEM lesson plans and a teacher resource pack, a multilingual gamified e-learning platform with games, video and self-assessment, an international teacher training in Lithuania that is then carried back into partner classrooms, and a fully online space-STEM hackathon. Real ESA and NASA data sits underneath the material, which matters: a pupil who has handled an actual dataset has had a different experience from a pupil who has read about one.

§ 3Collective Innovation participates as partner. The project is coordinated from Poland by Mobile Adventure, with schools, universities and research organisations in Bulgaria, Lithuania, the Netherlands, North Macedonia, Poland and Turkey, and it runs for twenty-four months from September 2026. Selected in the 2026 Round 1 window; the grant agreement is at signature.
